God bless Phở 60 for gracing us with their presence south of the river. I no longer have to make the journey to i64 and West Broad. What is this area even called? It's some sort of weird Bermuda triangle of Tuckahoe - Willow Lawn - and Dumbarton. Whatever you call it, I call it too far out of the way. Now that Phở 60 is on, you guessed it, route 60 it's an easy 4-mile zip down the pike to noodle heaven. It's all about the broth! Nobody gets it right the way the people who own Phở So 1 get it. I've been told this is the same family running the show. They take their time and make it right. Good pho and bad pho are separated by the quality of the broth. Run don't walk to this location for the BEST pho this side of the river. My only warning is the culture and how it relates to service. You might be waiting 5 hours for waters. You might have your order taken in less than 5 minutes. You might just stand there looking stupid in the doorway. You might get seated right away. The possibilities are endless! YOUR personal experience will vary. Done with your meal and expecting a bill? Nope. Just walk your happy ass to the registers and explain what you ordered. Shuffling through dozens of tickets is fun for the whole family. 0_o I've been here about four times already and with Winter coming I will be back again. The Phở is worth it.

No long wait, kind staff, great open seating options. The pho was absolutely delicious. We had the veggie and the beef brisket for with the crispy vegetarian spring rolls. I'll say the spring rolls were 10/10 best I've had in Richmond! The beef phô has great depth of flavor, and the brisket is perfectly sliced. I added broccoli to mine and staff was very accommodating and the broccoli was actually perfectly cooked and flavorful! The veggie pho has great balance, chef did not skimp on ingredients, and the tofu was perfectly sliced and matched the consistency of the other vegetables. If you're new to phô, I'd say this is a great place to start!

So happy we finally got a pho place in Midlo, it was getting old having to drive 20-30 minutes away to get pho. The dish that impressed me the most is 34. Com Tam Suon, the plate was ENORMOUS, the pork chops were big, delicious and perfectly cooked and they gave a ton of broken rice. Better size than a lot of other Viet restaurants I've been to. Their fish sauce recipe is very good. All of the portion sizes were really good. I got the size Large 1. Tai Nam Gau Gan Sach, and they gave a huge amount of noodles in the soup. The Cha Gio was better than some that I've had in Eden Center in nova, they were large, perfectly crispy and had a great filling mixture. This was one of the first restaurants I felt so stuffed after eating aside from buffet restaurants, which really speaks to the portion size. The quality, taste, size and price right now makes this now my go-to Viet restaurant in Richmond area. Note they are still in early phases of being open so I don't even see their hours posted anywhere. I asked the server and he said they are open 10 AM - 8 PM, Tues - Sun (closed Mondays). Since the hours aren't published anywhere I would say this is subject to change. Ambiance, they removed some of the booths the old pho place had kept from back when this restaurant was a BBQ place, but aside from that they still haven't really changed the decor. I don't really mind since the food is stellar.

Sooooo happy we finally have a great Pho place on this side of town. Viet Huong was ok, it was a good option when it was around, but this place is great. They are the same owners of Pho So 1 around the Innsbrook area. I used to frequent Pho So 1 a good bit since I worked out there. At any rate... so excited about this place!!! We got the Cha Gio, egg rolls which were great. We got Pho #1 for my son which he thoroughly enjoyed. The Pho broth was on point. My daughter got the Grilled Pork with Broken Rice, which was delicious. She had enough for leftovers the next night too. The pork was grilled perfectly. Both my husband and I had the Bun Bo Hue (in essence it is spicy beef noodle soup which was awesome). I've had better in N.VA but it's great for this area (better than the version of it a Pho Saigon Garden... years ago this place had a good version of it but the last five years it's been extremely rough). Can't wait to do some pick up runs too!
